Basic facts Boxes

 I got a speed demon up to 10.

I got 100/100 it took me 4 minmute and 45 seconds.

I think I did ok but next time will try my 20s and go faster.





SSR Selfie

 I read 4 pages of The cubs get the scoop bye Paula Franco.

This storey is about a clubs trying to be on the newspaper to get money. But then well they were talking one of the boy members from the club said wait we don't have to be on the  newspaper to have money than they said why don't we start somthing.

I like how the boy wanted to start somthing. Because if you would try to go on the newpaper you would of waste your time.

Teamwork

 Teamwork is a term to describe a group of people working together to achieve a goal.

Commuication is to talk with everyone and to commication. For example in dodgeball talk to one another throughout the game.

Coopperation is to work together and not leave anyone behind. For example in dogeball work all together.

Collabration is when you meet up with someone and talk with them. For example in dodgeball target one person or team together.

Teamwork

Teamwork is a term to describe a group of people working together to achieve a goal.

Teamwork consits of three main mechanisms. 

Commuication is to talk with everyone and to commication. For example in dodgeball talk to one another throughout the game.

Coopperation is to work together and not leave anyone behind. For example in dogeball work all together.

Collabration is when you meet up with someone and talk with them. For example in dodgeball target one person or team together.


To be successful as a team all three mechanisms need to implemented throughout the activity.



Duffy

Marc Duffy is a duffy role model.

Marc duffy came to our school to tell us why it is importent to read.

Marc told us a storey bassed on reading. A young boy was at school he did not know how to read. every time the teacher would call him to the front of the class and he would have to read the book. The young boy would read to the left to right. Everyone would laugh at him. He learnt how to read in prision school. After he got out of prision he got his own job. He learnt the trade of a bulider and owned his own busniess. He owns the biggest bunning in New zealand. 

If you do not know how to read start learning so you can get better and smarter.


Making Connections

Making connections is when you take an idea from a book and think of the similarities to something else.

There are 3 different connections to make when reading.

Text to self means comparing the text to yourself. For example, in the text I inferred the duck returned the food to the villages. He did the right thing and did not eat it all. My connection is when my friend sleep over and for got to get her t-shirt and then I gave it back on monday. These connect because me and the duck gave the things back to the. 

Text to text means comparing the text to the text. For example, in the text I inferred the duck fooled the rat that she has a sister that lived in the cave. The duck did that because she wanted the rat to get lost in the cave. My connection is that I fooled my friend that I have another brother in myanmar. These connections bewteen be and the duck is we lied that we had a sibling.

Text to world means comparing the text to the world. For example, in the text I inferred the duck took the horse down the mountain. The duck did that because she wanted the horse to walk more better. My connection is when I took my cousin to his friends house. These connect because the duck and I took the animals or the person to the places.

Making connections is a reading strategy to help build understandings.

The Highway Rat

Character trait is when you describe how a character acts or behaves in a story.

There are 3 characters in the Highway Rat that can be inferred about. The duck from the highway rat was generous and kind because she gave the villages and horse food to eat and drink. This show she is kind because she could of kept the food for herself. 

The duck is a good person to look after the horse because she treats everyone nicely.

Character traits are important because they help develop better understandings.



Multiplication

Multiplication is faster way to learn the same numbers many times.
The two, five, and ten times tables are examples of multipilcation.

The two times table are multiplying two by a numbers of groups.
The five times table are multiplying five by a number of groups.
The ten times tables are multiplying ten by a number of groups.

The times table are an easy way to remember basic multiplication equations.
The next time tables are going to be three, fours and sixs.

Fact or Opinion

We did a fact and opinion activity using the book The Hughway Rat.

A fact is that the duck fooled the highway rat from saying she has a sister with lots of treats. An opinion is the duck tried to avoid being eaten by the rat.

After finding four facts and four opinion I found adjectives to describe the character traits from my opinions.

This activity was a little hard finding the adjectives.



































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































Multiplication

On Monday LS1 made a google slide for multiplication. 

Multiplication is a fast way to learn the same number many times.

I took a cup full of counters then my group and I started spliting up the counters into fives.

The fives didn't work so I spilt it up in twos. The twos worked out great so my groups labeled it. 

Once we labeled it we found out it was 11 groups of 2 which equals 22.

This Activity was a little hard at first because I don't know my timetables. This should me a visual way to see them.
