Basic facts Boxes

I completed a basic facts boxes speed demon.

I did level 20 and got 100/100 my time limit was 3 minutes and 27 seconds.

I want to improve on my time limit and work faster.

Simple Machines

Did you know that there are the simple machines that help people build and work more easier. These are three simillar simple machines, the wheel and axles, pully, and screw.

Explain that idioms

A idiom is ways to say sentenes. For example hit the sack. Hit the sack means go to bed it's a silly and fun way to say go to bed. Here are some videos of some idioms.

HPE | Balancing

We did a range of activitys based on balancing. 

First, we used the basketball equipment. We balanced on one leg and dripple the ball at the same time.

Second, we used the netballd it was just like normal pasting.

The third equipment we used was a football. For the footall we had to stand sideways and pst acroos our body. Me and Genesis was sruggleing to past the football.

The fouth one was hocky. Hocky was easier than the other equitment. It was like golf.

The last one was frisbee it was hard to control because the wind didn't go to Genesis.

I enjoyed the hockey more becasue it was more easier to handle with and it was like golf.

SSR Selfie

 I read 27 pages of Dawn and the imposible three.

The storey is about a girl called Dawn. She is a new memeber of the baby sitter club and she just moved in into the form sunny california. But when she takes care of the little kids the house is alaways missy and the kids are alaways out of control. And she trys to fit in with the other baby sitter club members especially Kristy.

I like this book because its really cool and its a great graphic novel.

Passing

This week I learnt how to tell people to pass.

We revisied the words we did last week teni, tena, and tera.

The sentence was, hoatu te .... ki te taha maui

I like te reo maori because its fun and I would do it again.

Basic facts

 I completed a basic facts boxs up to 20 subtraition. Basics fact box is when you complete addition or subtraition up to 5, 10, 20, and 100 in a short amount of time.

I got 94 out of 100 and the amout of time was 4 minutes and 33 seconds.

Next time I would want to improve on my score and time.

 

Time Difference

 My group and I learnt about time difference.

Here is a example. 9:00 and 1:00 there is a 4 hour 0 minute gap. So the total will be 4 hour and 0 minute differences. 

I liked this activity but it was a little difficult but once I pratice it more I got use to it.

Keywords

I learnt about keywords.

 

My group and I picked 3 keyword on this book called School journal we read  a section of the book

it was called un wanted visitors

I read the introduction and found some keyword. These are the 3 keyword that I found. Sinffer dog, cute beagle, and quarantine officer, fruit fly camping gear and dairy products,.

I really enjoyed this activity and I would like to do it again

Problem Sloving

Today in groups we did problem sloving.

First we looked at the sheet and wrote down the answers. We looked at the answer 1 by 1.

Then we mark the answers. The results were 5/6 we got all of them coorect excepted for 1.

I enjoyed this activity but I think I need a little more pratice.

Balancing

We did balancing activtys in our envoirment

Today we took a arange of photos.

First we took a photo on the bench we all stood on 1 leg.

This activity was a liitle hard becasue it was all balancing with eachother.

Maori

 This week LS1 learned some new questions.

We learnt new questions. Kau marama? (Do you understand?) , Kua mutu? (Finished?). I practiced until I said it properly.

Balance

This week Mr Ogilvie taught us how balance. Then we did some poses.

The first thing we did was balancing on the beam. The aim of the game is to have two people from each group to walk on the beam and try to not lose their balance. 

The second activity we did was to try to balance on a ball. We had to go in a groups of 3. My partners were Daeyna, and Miley. I stood on the ball and Daeyna and Miley held my arm and when I was more balanced they both let go of me and I stood still for a couple of second but then I lose my balance.

This was a little hard for me I need to improve on balancing on a ball.

Predicting

I learned that predicting is when you guess something that hasn't happen.

I made predictions about the information in the book Winter Sport.

Predicting was a little hard for me but then I got used to it.
